Glacier is expanding its software engineering team with remote hires from Latin America.
The software engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software across edge devices, on-premise and cloud servers, and customer-facing web applications.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining software for edge devices, server infrastructure, and web applications, building and improving APIs, designing user interfaces, managing data processing and machine learning pipelines, troubleshooting problems across the hardware/software stack, and collaborating with the team to design new features.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of work experience with relevant programming languages, such as Python for backend/edge and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience developing or consuming APIs, specifically RESTful APIs, is required.
Experience with backend web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI, or frontend frameworks/libraries such as React or NextJS is necessary.
Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities are essential for this role.
English fluency at a B2 level or higher is required, as the candidate will be working with a US-based team.
Nice to have skills include experience with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch).
Experience working with US companies or clients is considered a plus.
