The Mid-Level App Data Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining domain-specific databases and backend data solutions.
This role ensures high performance, scalability, and data integrity in support of business-critical applications.
You will work closely with engineering, analytics, and operations teams to align on data strategy and support application performance through optimized database design and queries.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining database schemas, developing and optimizing SQL queries, and collaborating with software developers for efficient data exchange.
You will monitor database performance, troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement best practices for backup and data recovery.
The position requires maintaining comprehensive documentation for data structures and providing updates to stakeholders during data project lifecycles.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 3–5 years of experience in application-focused database development.
Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server is essential.
Experience in designing schemas, optimizing queries, and managing stored procedures is necessary.
Familiarity with backend integration and supporting APIs with efficient data structures is required.
An understanding of indexing, data integrity, and performance tuning is important.
Experience collaborating with developers and data professionals in an Agile environment is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this role.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases is considered a plus.
