The position is for a Senior Data Engineer, which is a full-time role based remotely in the Philippines.
The compensation for this role is up to ₱100,900.00.
The job involves leading the design, development, and optimization of complex data systems.
Responsibilities include leading the end-to-end design and development of robust, scalable data pipeline projects, optimizing data systems for performance, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting data issues.
The primary focus areas are advanced data engineering, data performance tuning, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
The Senior Data Engineer will have decision-making authority regarding data system design and optimization strategies.
Strong communication skills are required for coordination with the Data Engineering Lead and other teams.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend data systems development.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, Apache NiFi, Talend, AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory is necessary.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog or similar is required.
Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Docker, Git, and CircleCI is essential.
Candidates should have experience in building data solutions at an enterprise scale.
