The engineer will also contribute to team practices, foster innovation through hypothesis-driven development, and support the development lifecycle with tools like GitHub Actions in cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer working with complex architectures in B2B or public-facing applications.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/TypeScript using frameworks like React, along with experience in testing tools like RSpec and React Testing Library, is required.
Experience with API-driven development and polyglot programming environments is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to integrate and experiment with AI tools to enhance delivery and software quality.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a self-managed, remote team are essential.
A background in Agile development environments and comfort with distributed, asynchronous collaboration is required.
Candidates must have lived and worked in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
Additional experience working with government clients, the U.S. Web Design System, or as a U.S. veteran is highly valued.
