Remote Informatica Cloud Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Informatica Cloud Engineer to join our team.
• This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
• The successful candidate will also support governance, architecture, and leadership in our Informatica cloud environment.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying complex data integration solutions using Informatica IICS/CDI.
• The engineer will create mappings, transformations, and task flows to move and process data from various sources (cloud and on-premises) to target systems.
• Implementing ETL/ELT processes for data warehousing, data lakes, and other data initiatives is essential.
• The role requires optimizing and tuning data integration jobs for performance and scalability.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation for all data integration processes and workflows is also a key responsibility.
• The engineer will architect and implement data governance frameworks using Informatica’s CDGC within the IDMC platform.
• Establishing and managing data quality rules, data lineage, business glossaries, and data dictionaries is required.
• The role involves working with data stewards and business stakeholders to define and enforce data policies and standards.
• Configuring and managing security, user roles, and permissions within the IDMC environment to ensure data security and compliance is necessary.
• Conducting data discovery and profiling to understand and catalog data assets across the enterprise is part of the job.
• The engineer will act as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership for all things Informatica IDMC.
• Collaborating with data architects, data scientists, and business teams to understand requirements and design end-to-end data solutions is expected.
• Evaluating new Informatica IDMC services and features, and providing recommendations for their adoption is part of the role.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to the Informatica platform is required.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members on best practices and development standards is also a responsibility.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud, specifically IICS/IDMC.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions (CDI) is required.
• Solid experience with Informatica’s data governance services (CDGC or equivalent) is necessary.
• A strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake, and database concepts is essential.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake) is required.
• Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are required.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential.

Benefits:

• Preferred qualifications include Informatica certification(s) related to IDMC (e.g., Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Data Governance).
• Experience with other Informatica services like Cloud Application Integration (CAI) or Master Data Management (MDM) is beneficial.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
