The Information Security Architect designs the framework of Airship's security infrastructure and sets the vision for cybersecurity systems.
This role involves acting as a technical expert to assess potential systems and process vulnerabilities to determine security infrastructure requirements.
The architect will develop policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access and educate users on security requirements and procedures.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing controls for compliance with regulations and privacy laws, managing SOC2 audits, and participating in the Security on-call rotation.
The role requires responding to emergencies in accordance with documented policies and procedures.
The architect will research security trends and recommend security controls to mitigate risks.
Additional tasks include providing guidance on best practices for information protection, planning and executing security measures, maintaining the security baseline, and managing enterprise security assessments.
The position also involves producing security metrics and assisting sales and account managers with customer inquiries about Airship’s security.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4-6 years of experience in the field of Information Security.
One or more industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP/E, or GCIA are required.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language, including Python, Java, Bash/shell, Ruby, or PHP, is necessary.
Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is required.
A working knowledge of protecting and operating MacOS, Linux, and Windows systems is essential.
Candidates should have experience with compliance standards such as SOC2, ISO, or HIPAA.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills are a must.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to diagnose and address technical debt are required.
The ability to explain security concepts to individuals with varying technical backgrounds is necessary.
Experience with AI tools, either personally or professionally, is preferred, along with a willingness to learn.
Benefits:
The starting base pay range for this position is $123,000-$155,000 USD per year, with potential eligibility for commission, bonuses, or other performance incentives.
