The role of Information Security Engineer involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure, including endpoint protection and SaaS security solutions.
Responsibilities include promoting information security best practices, managing security controls, monitoring SaaS applications, overseeing endpoint security configurations, supporting incident response activities, and developing security policies.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of security principles and the ability to communicate risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in SaaS or IT administration, with at least 2 years in information security or cybersecurity.
A security certification such as CC, CCSP, SSCP, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CSX-P, GX-CS, or CompTIA Security+ is required or actively pursued.
Strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, authentication protocols, and access control mechanisms is necessary.
Experience with SaaS platforms like Salesforce, Office 365, and Google Workspace is required.
A solid understanding of core security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewalls is essential.
Experience with cloud and data security tools, particularly DSPM and SSPM, is needed.
Proficiency in endpoint security and management across Windows and macOS platforms is required.
Candidates must be comfortable communicating in English, both in writing and speaking.
Flexibility to join late-afternoon or evening meetings for collaboration with a multinational team is necessary.
Extra points for experience with security monitoring and automation, familiarity with cloud security architecture, proficiency in scripting languages, and knowledge of compliance standards.
