This position is for an Infrastructure Application and Database SME – Lead at Nationwide IT Services, Inc. in the District of Columbia or Virginia.
The role requires a senior-level technical expert to lead and optimize mission-critical Oracle-based environments for the Department of Defense.
The candidate will collaborate with executive stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing systems for over 300,000 users.
Responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert on Oracle infrastructure, middleware, and enterprise technologies within a DoD environment.
The candidate will provide senior-level technical direction, engineering oversight, and independent analysis on complex issues related to Oracle application and database systems.
The role involves administering and optimizing technologies such as Oracle EBS Financials, RAC, GoldenGate, Active Data Guard, and Fusion Middleware 12.2+.
The candidate will lead system architecture reviews and ensure compliance with DoD security frameworks and operational standards.
Managing and supporting a broad suite of Oracle tools including SOA Suite, OBIEE, Hyperion, EDQ, SSO/OAM, OIM, UPK, and GRC is also required.
Mentoring cross-functional technical teams to ensure optimal uptime, secure performance, and scalable operations is part of the job.
The candidate will develop and deliver comprehensive technical documentation, system designs, troubleshooting guides, and strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, Oracle platforms, and middleware systems is required.
Proven success in managing large-scale Oracle environments supporting over 300,000 production users is essential.
Expertise in Oracle EBS Financials ERP, Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, Active Data Guard, and performance tuning is necessary.
Deep experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2+, SOA, OBIEE, Hyperion, and related tools is required.
Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, DoD RMF standards, and STIG compliance is needed.
An active IT-I Critical Sensitive or Tier 5 (T5) clearance is required at the time of proposal submission.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to create and present polished technical documentation to government stakeholders are essential.
Preferred qualifications include Oracle certifications, experience with DoD financial systems, large-scale ERP/cloud migrations, and FedRAMP environments.
