Remote Infrastructure Engineer

Description:

• Anaplan is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team in York or Manchester.
• The role involves streamlining the delivery of Anaplan’s SaaS product offerings and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities.
• The engineer will work with various technologies and contribute to the growth and expansion of the business.
• Responsibilities include developing and supporting internal backend tooling, promoting best practices for SaaS service delivery, and focusing on problem-solving.
• The engineer will collaborate with colleagues to build prototypes and platform capabilities.

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to create well-architected applications.
• Experience in writing backend micro-services is required, with bonus points for familiarity with Rust or other strongly typed languages.
• Candidates should have experience writing library code or contributing to open-source projects.
• Strong documentation skills for internal tooling are necessary.
• A focus on writing tests and understanding different testing methodologies is essential.
• Experience with deployment tools/technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Harness is advantageous.
• Candidates should demonstrate positive energy and enthusiasm, with a passion for solving problems and getting things done.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and showcase work is important.
