Remote Infrastructure Engineer/SRE

Description:

• Corelight is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer/SRE to help enhance cybersecurity by focusing on network-based solutions.
• The role involves building a distributed research platform called Polaris for the Corelight Labs team to test detections and machine learning.
• Polaris consists of physical hardware and cloud resources (AWS, Azure) and is monitored using Zeek, Prometheus, Alertmanager, and visualized with Grafana.
• The team runs long-lived services on Kubernetes in EKS and develops tools and automation using Go, Python, Typescript, Bash, and Git.
• GitOps is utilized to coordinate automation and create self-service tooling.
• Collaboration is key, as the team works closely with SaaS, Security, Success, and Engineering teams.
• The company is small, supporting a greater team of approximately 35 members.
• Corelight is remote-friendly, with a global team that typically meets in person once a year.
• The company is expanding its deployments, aiming to double its Points of Presence (PoPs) by 2025.
• Upcoming projects include collecting system logs, automating work on the platform, replacing Duo MFA with YubiKey, scaling Wireguard hub deployment, and enhancing resilience in the hub-and-spoke topology.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience in building and managing distributed systems.
