  • As an Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will support incident management and resolution, refine incident management procedures, and ensure adherence to those procedures.
  • You will improve the Secure Software Development Lifecycle by enhancing vulnerability scanning and remediation processes, and developing educational materials for engineers.
  • The role involves streamlining the handling of Customer Security questionnaires through technology and tooling development.
  • You will assess threats to business continuity and develop disaster recovery plans, ensuring regular exercises of those plans are conducted.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide infrastructure support for new features and services.
  • The position requires enhancing and automating infrastructure management using tools like Terraform, Argo, and GitHub Actions.
  • You will manage and optimize the GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) environment for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • The role includes improving the observability stack with tools such as Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Alert Manager for real-time monitoring.
  • You will set up and maintain performance monitoring tools, including k6, for optimal performance and capacity planning.

Requirements:

  • You must have 5+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure and automation.
  • Experience in achieving SOC2 Type II, ISO 27001, or similar certifications is required.
  • Proficiency in Node.js or Python for backend services in a microservices architecture is necessary.
  • You should have 3+ years of experience with cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments is essential.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous processing, message queues (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub), and event-driven architecture for backend applications is required.
  • A focus on the internal engineer team’s success is important.
