  • The Senior Database Administrator role at KBRA Holdings, LLC is a full-time position that is fully remote, available only in specific states including CA, CO, DC, FL, IL, MD, NJ, MA, NY, PA, SC, TX, and VA.
  • This role is responsible for modernizing, securing, and scaling data platforms to meet evolving business and application needs.
  • The Database Engineer will focus on building resilient, automated systems and enabling cross-functional teams to implement scalable and secure data solutions across both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • The position involves leading initiatives to modernize legacy database environments, implement automation, and design fault-tolerant systems in hybrid cloud infrastructures.
  • Collaboration with engineering, security, and business stakeholders is essential to build and maintain database environments that are performant, secure, and cost-effective.
  • A key focus will be driving a self-service model, empowering developers and engineers with tools and frameworks to independently interact with backend database systems across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant technical certification is required.
  • Candidates must have 15 years of experience working in database administration, database engineering, or a related role.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in building and managing redundant, secured, and resilient database environments, including both on-prem and cloud setups, is necessary.
  • At least 10 years of experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL, MySQL, and Postgres is required.
  • Candidates should have 5 years of experience with No-SQL databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP is essential.
  • Candidates must have 5 years of experience with database automation.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with infrastructure as code and tools similar to Terraform is required.
  • Candidates should have 3 years of experience working with scripting languages including Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Linux is necessary.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a competency-based interview.

Benefits:

  • The expected salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $190,000/year.
