The company is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to contribute to a large-scale data modernization effort for a major enterprise client.
The role involves migrating and transforming complex legacy data pipelines to a modern custom-built cloud environment for improved scalability, maintainability, and compliance.
The Data Engineer will work closely with architects, DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable data solutions that meet unique business needs.
The position is remote and available for candidates located in Brazil, Argentina, or Colombia.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in data engineering and data warehouse modeling.
Strong proficiency in designing and building ETL for large data volumes and streaming solutions is required.
Expert-level SQL skills and experience with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg tables are necessary.
Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, GCS, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub is essential.
Proficiency in Python for ETL scripting and DAG development is required.
Experience using dbt for data transformation and orchestration is necessary.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, including Git, Terraform, and Serverless, is required.
A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields is necessary.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential.
An upper-intermediate or higher level of English is required.
