We invite an Intermediate Software Engineer with strong backend expertise in Node.js and PHP to join our team.
In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining core systems for our payroll platform.
You will collaborate with other engineers to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of the platform.
Your work will help support a solution designed to make payroll and HR processes simpler and more efficient for thousands of customers.
You will help develop and maintain core backend systems for a robust payroll platform, collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities include building, maintaining, and enhancing core backend systems using Node.js and PHP, designing and implementing REST APIs, and working with MongoDB databases.
You will write high-quality, maintainable code, including unit tests to ensure functionality and reliability.
You will collaborate with team members to design features, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems.
Participation in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring code quality is also expected.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js and PHP.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB is required.
Practical experience with AWS and familiarity with cloud best practices is necessary.
You should have an understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
Experience with version control systems (Git) is essential.
You must have experience writing unit tests and maintaining code quality.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are necessary.
An upper-intermediate English level is required.
You should demonstrate proactivity, motivation, autonomy, and accountability.
Familiarity with payroll or HR system development is desirable.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker) is a plus.
Experience collaborating in distributed teams with English-speaking stakeholders is also desirable.
