The KOSTAL Group is seeking an IT Application Engineer to lead the implementation and support of Solunio, a new Digital Shopfloor Management software.
This role combines operational management with development activities to ensure effective deployment and continuous enhancement of the solution.
Key responsibilities include providing technical enablement of the Solunio software in cloud-native, containerized environments, ensuring smooth software operation, maintaining up-to-date software versions, and ensuring a secure operational environment.
The engineer will scale the software to accommodate growth, connect new data sources for seamless integration, and collaborate with business stakeholders to enhance the solution based on company needs.
Responsibilities also include gathering and analyzing business requirements, preparing solution proposals, working closely with the software supplier for enhancements, and facilitating the rollout of Solunio to new sites.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proven experience in application engineering or IT support roles, particularly with cloud-native solutions and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure reliable software operations in a secure cloud environment are essential.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose technical solutions is required.
Proficiency in writing SQL scripts for database management and data integration is necessary.
Knowledge of shopfloor processes and management of shopfloor data is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across different teams are essential.
Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting is advantageous.
Desirable experience includes working in the automotive industry or with Digital Shopfloor Management solutions, background in enterprise-level SaaS platforms, understanding of agile methodologies, and relevant certifications in cloud technologies or IT support engineering.
