The position is for a Java and Angular Full Stack Developer who is a U.S. Citizen and can obtain a CBP public trust clearance.
The role involves designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities for various legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight.
The developer will be part of a product team, supporting teammates and collaborating to ensure product and team success.
Responsibilities include providing improvements to the supported products, participating in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.
The developer will support release planning with conceptual design and the development/refinement of software engineering guidelines.
Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components is also required.
Requirements:
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain a CBP public trust clearance, which includes checks for felony convictions, illegal drug use, and misconduct.
A college degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline is required, although experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with Java is required, including familiarity with Hibernate, Spring, JAX-RS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web-Services, JBoss, Eclipse, Maven, Junit, and shell scripting.
Recent experience with Angular development is mandatory.
Expertise in Object Oriented Design and Development (OODD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is required.
Candidates should have experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows, preferably Git.
Proficiency in using SQL or PL/SQL to access Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server databases is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Strong collaboration skills and a desire to work within a team are required.
Candidates should be highly responsible, team-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic as a self-starter.
Additional experience with HTML, VMware, ETL tools, ESB, message queuing, application security, automated testing, UML, VersionOne, Jira, or Sparx Enterprise Architect is highly desirable.
