Spektrum is seeking a Java Software Developer to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in The Hague, The Netherlands.
The role involves developing and updating Java software modules for the Networked Interoperable Real-Time Information Services (NIRIS) software, which is crucial for Command and Control (C2) operations within NATO.
Responsibilities include conducting unit and automated testing of software components, updating software documentation, and contributing to both virtual and in-person meetings.
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development using Java and Typescript (Angular), as well as experience in programming at the computer network level and with Tactical Data Links (TDL).
Requirements:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development using Java and Typescript (Angular).
A minimum of 3 years of experience in programming at the computer network level (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast) is required.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of knowledge in programming Tactical Data Links (TDL), such as Link 1 and Link 16.
The ability to produce efficient, clear, readable, maintainable, and high-quality code is essential.
Experience in developing and troubleshooting near real-time systems is necessary.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in continuous software integration and automated testing, including knowledge of test automation frameworks.
A minimum of 3 years of experience using development tools such as Maven, Jira, GitLab, Zephyr, and familiarity with the Scrum methodology is required.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory as the work is conducted in English.
A valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance is required.
