We are seeking a Senior BI Platform Engineer with 10+ years of experience and deep expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and MicroStrategy (MSTR).
The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead and administrator for our BI platforms, ensuring reliable performance, advanced user support (L3), and stakeholder engagement.
This role includes implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for BI assets to ensure scalable, automated, and governed deployment processes.
Responsibilities include serving as platform administrator for Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and MSTR, managing permissions, data sources, server performance, and upgrades.
The candidate will provide Level 3 (L3) support for BI platforms, resolving complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis, and performing platform-level troubleshooting.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for BI dashboards, dataflows, and platform configurations to support agile development and deployment.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure proper implementation of dashboards and analytics solutions is essential.
The candidate will monitor and optimize BI platform performance, usage, and adoption.
Close work with data engineering teams is required to ensure data quality and availability for reporting needs.
The role includes creating and maintaining documentation for governance, support processes, and best practices.
Training and mentoring users and junior team members on BI tools and reporting standards is expected.
Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues is crucial.
The candidate will manage all BI upgrades and optimize the capacity of Power BI gateway, Tableau bridge, Alteryx server, and other BI platforms.
Management of new features in each of the BI platforms and licenses for each platform, including automated assignments and off-boarding users, is required.
The candidate will also manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for all the BI platforms.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in a BI support or engineering role is required.
Advanced experience with Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and MSTR, including administrative functions, troubleshooting, and user support is necessary.
Proven experience providing Level 3 (L3) support and managing CI/CD pipelines for BI platforms is essential.
Strong knowledge of BI architecture, data visualization best practices, and data modeling concepts is required.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior business leaders, are necessary.
Experience with SQL, data warehouses, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake) is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
