The Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure that hosts a microservices-based application on AWS.
The role involves working within a team that makes decisions on infrastructure-related topics, including technology selection and architecture design.
Key responsibilities include providing support for development teams working on innovative cloud-based applications for the hospitality industry, designing and implementing infrastructure-related automation tools, and automating DevOps internal workflows.
Daily work involves using Kanban for task management, Jira for teamwork, participating in daily, weekly, and retrospective meetings, and utilizing GitLab as a code repository with a trunk-based development approach.
The team builds environments in AWS using Terraform/Terragrunt, develops deployment solutions for Kubernetes, supports local environments with Docker/docker-compose, and creates libraries, tools, and AWS Lambdas in Python.
The team operates under the "Everything as Code" philosophy and does not release applications to environments, as there is a dedicated team of Release Managers.
