Remote Junior Full Stack Engineer

Description:

• This is a full-time Full Stack Engineer role at Pickaxe.
• This role is limited to applicants who are currently based in San Francisco.
• As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications—primarily through React, tRPC, Next.js, Typescript, and Python.
• Your day-to-day tasks will include writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, developing user-friendly features, debugging and testing applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• The ideal candidate is an expert in Next.js, has an appetite for solving novel problems in the generative AI space, and wants to work at an early-stage start-up that iterates quickly.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in React/Next.js is required.
• Experience working with a Python/Flask backend is necessary.
• Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools is essential.
• The ability to problem-solve independently is a must.
• The ability to collaborate with a remote, fast-paced team is important.
• Experience and enthusiasm for generative AI are preferred.
