The position is responsible for Tier 3 customer support and baseband software management.
Upon receiving a Trouble Report (TR), the engineer must determine if the issue is software-related and escalate it to the R&D team if necessary.
The engineer will also support upper tiers of customer support in analysis and collaborate with testers and labs for internal TRs.
Common issues include software crashes, throughput degradation, voice quality degradation, and sleeping cells.
The role requires the use of scripts for analyzing large volumes of data.
Requirements:
Candidates must have knowledge and experience in LTE or 5G protocols, particularly in the Uu interface, and understand PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and the differences between SA and NSA.
A solid understanding of the UE attach procedure is required.
Troubleshooting experience with common issues in 4G or 5G networks is essential.
Proficiency in using the Linux terminal for file management and navigation is necessary.
The ability to read and understand C code is required.
A higher technical education in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory.
Candidates should possess knowledge in the IT/telecommunication area.
