The position is for a Junior Scala Backend Engineer in the IoT Technology team at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary.
The team focuses on big data, data analytics, data sharing, and IoT solution implementation projects.
The role involves working directly with a customer from the energy solution industry, dedicated to decarbonization of major industries in the global economy.
The engineer will collaborate with the T-Systems International Data Intelligence Business unit team members in an international setting.
Key responsibilities include developing the existing analytics environment, exploring and orchestrating analytics, and building a platform for data gathering and analysis.
Main tasks include participating in an agile environment (SCRUM), building cloud-hosted services, writing scalable and maintainable code, ensuring quality through documentation and testing, collaborating with international teams, and providing technology expertise to optimize solutions.
Requirements:
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in IT is required.
Strong experience with Scala is essential.
Candidates must have experience in Data Engineering and be capable of implementing analytics algorithms.
Good English written and oral skills are necessary.
Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
Familiarity with Microservices, Akka, Kafka, NoSQL databases (such as Neo4j/Influx), and AWS Cloud is required.
