Spektrum is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their team supporting the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in Brussels, Belgium.
The NCIA provides secure and effective IT services to NATO member countries and partners, including cybersecurity, command and control systems, satellite communications, electronic warfare, and information management.
The role involves supporting the development and testing of the Spectrum Management Information Repository On-Line (SMIROnLine), a web application used for managing spectrum management information.
The Junior Software Developer will work alongside an experienced senior developer and will be responsible for developing and testing new features, as well as resolving software bugs.
The position requires participation in an Agile software development environment, collaborating with a Scrum team, and attending virtual and in-person meetings as needed.
Requirements:
Candidates must have relevant and recent experience in web development using ASP .NET Framework (.NET 8) and C#.
Experience in website GUI development using Bootstrap, CSS, HTML, JQuery, and XML is required.
Proficiency in working with MS SQL databases, including stored procedures and XML storage/querying, is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with JavaScript and Typescript modules (ES6) and working in software development teams following Scrum methodology, with a minimum PSD1 Professional Scrum Developer certification.
Knowledge of continuous software integration and automated testing, including test automation frameworks, is essential.
Familiarity with software development tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, GitLab, and SonarQube is required.
Candidates must be able to produce efficient, clear, readable, maintainable, and high-quality code, and support product backlog refinement.
Applicants must have the nationality of one of the NATO member nations.
Business English proficiency is required.
