The Lead AI Engineer position is a remote role based in the United Kingdom, allowing work from anywhere in the UK.

The engineer will report directly to the Head of AI and will be responsible for writing production code, shaping strategy, mentoring team members, and growing a high-performance AI engineering team.
Key responsibilities include designing and deploying core AI systems, leading model architecture and data pipeline design, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and owning the end-to-end ML lifecycle.
The engineer will also review code, guide projects, mentor engineers, champion AI best practices, and contribute to technical hiring.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience in AI/ML engineering with real-world deployment experience.
Strong Python skills and deep familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn are essential.
A solid understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data pipelines, training, validation, and monitoring, is necessary.
Experience working on applied AI problems, such as recommendation systems, fraud detection, risk assessment, or natural language processing, is required.
A track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineers is important.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Candidates must be based in the UK and open to working remotely with regional teams.
