Consumer Reports is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to a fair and just marketplace for consumers.
The organization is seeking a Lead AI/ML Engineer to execute a strategic multi-year roadmap focused on generative AI.
The role involves leveraging emerging data technologies and applied AI/ML techniques to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable production-ready applications.
The Lead AI/ML Engineer will report to the Associate Director, AI/ML & Machine Learning and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into specific AI/ML problems with measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, leading AI/ML initiatives, collaborating with various teams to build automated end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, researching the latest AI/ML technologies, advocating for responsible AI practices, and mentoring team members on AI/ML engineering best practices.
This is a remote position and is not eligible for sponsorship.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional working experience in AI/ML engineering projects.
Strong foundations in Computer Science, Math, Probability, Statistics, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI concepts are essential.
Expertise in Python, SQL, Unix Scripting, and related libraries and frameworks is required.
Experience in building end-to-end production-grade AI/ML pipelines in cloud environments, specifically AWS and Databricks, is necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are needed to effectively partner with business and technology teams.
