The Lead API Engineer will focus on improving the technical direction for the sFOX API within the Trading Platform Team.
Responsibilities include building performant API endpoints, maintaining backward compatibility, providing quality feedback on code reviews, contributing to the API's technical direction, developing roadmaps, and mentoring other developers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5 years of experience as a professional software engineer, with at least 3 years focused on Backend/API services.
Experience in deploying and architecting back end applications that service single page applications, mobile applications, or public API consumption using Node.js is required. Experience with Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, Go, or Elixir/Phoenix will also be considered.
Proficiency in Typescript or JavaScript, along with knowledge of typed languages, is necessary.
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL is required.
Familiarity with writing and maintaining automated test suites is essential.
A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
