  • The Lead API Engineer will focus on improving the technical direction for the sFOX API within the Trading Platform Team.
  • Responsibilities include building performant API endpoints, maintaining backward compatibility, providing quality feedback on code reviews, contributing to the API's technical direction, developing roadmaps, and mentoring other developers.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5 years of experience as a professional software engineer, with at least 3 years focused on Backend/API services.
  • Experience in deploying and architecting back end applications that service single page applications, mobile applications, or public API consumption using Node.js is required. Experience with Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, Go, or Elixir/Phoenix will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Typescript or JavaScript, along with knowledge of typed languages, is necessary.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL is required.
  • Familiarity with writing and maintaining automated test suites is essential.
  • A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
