Remote Lead AWS DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Resource Innovations is seeking a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer for a remote position that requires occasional in-person office meetings for candidates residing in specific metro areas: San Francisco CA, Chicago IL, Phoenix AZ, Denver CO, or Madison WI.
• This position involves working on a wide range of SaaS products on the AWS platform that fundamentally changes how utilities manage business processes and customer initiatives for energy efficiency, renewable energy, demand response, and conservation.
• The Lead AWS DevOps Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing AWS technology infrastructure, leveraging cloud services and automation to ensure SaaS solutions are optimized for functionality, performance, and cost.
• The role includes developing and driving AWS cloud deployment, integrating new cloud services, and automating CI/CD pipelines.
• As a member of the technology team, the engineer will transform current cloud technology capabilities across a portfolio of SaaS products and identify opportunities to leverage cloud architecture and emerging technologies.
• Duties include designing, managing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, architecting solutions, researching best-in-class solutions, optimizing platforms, working with fellow DevOps engineers, developing new cloud technologies, defining cloud standards, monitoring infrastructure, managing security and compliance, meeting customer SLAs, and participating in team planning.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of DevOps experience with AWS cloud is required.
• Candidates should possess deep technical experience with cloud architecture, systems engineering, virtualization, serverless computing, networking, storage, security, and system administration.
• Technical expertise in multiple areas, including operating systems, network infrastructure, security infrastructure, databases, application servers, and monitoring systems is necessary.
• Experience in deploying and managing large cloud platforms, automating CI/CD pipelines, and the Software Release Process is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Grafana, and Git is required.
• A strong understanding of AWS computing technologies, emerging trends, and their application to optimize workloads is needed.
• Candidates should have experience managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting commercial cloud SaaS platforms.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, organizational skills, and being a self-starter are important.
• Experience in leading and guiding a small DevOps team is highly desirable.
• Candidates must currently reside in the United States, as visa sponsorship or extensions are not offered for this position.

• Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on skills, experience, and qualifications, with a compensation range for this position between $135,000 and $150,000.
• Employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
