• There is a full-time, permanent opening for a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer - Posture to support a large Federal Government customer.
• The role involves protecting the customer’s information assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their systems, applications, and data.
• The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and risk management.
• Responsibilities include ensuring that security policies, procedures, and controls are effectively implemented and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• The position requires strong communication skills to present technical assessments and recommendations to senior government leadership.
• Typical duties include analyzing cybersecurity controls, configurations, and logs, evaluating security configurations, and conducting comprehensive security assessments.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of applicable experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies is essential.
• Experience in implementing and managing cybersecurity controls, technologies, and processes is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls is necessary.
• Expert knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex situations to identify security risks are essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data/log query language and network/security log analysis is required.
• Experience with professional technical writing and writing for a C-level audience is necessary.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices is required.
