This is a contract position within the Software Product Management team at Natera’s technical organization.
The Lead Data Analyst - Master Data Sets will collaborate with internal business partners to define data structures, migrate existing data, and develop data governance processes.
This position is remote, with potential travel of up to 10% for on-site meetings in Austin, TX or San Carlos, CA.
Responsibilities include analyzing master data needs across the organization, advising product and software groups on data definitions and hierarchy, serving as the subject matter expert on IBM Product Master and Data Catalogs, defining and documenting processes for data governance and maintenance within Product Master, and ensuring data governance steps align with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Requirements:
A BS or higher in Information Systems, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related major, or equivalent industry experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of direct experience in business systems analysis.
A background working with data architecture is necessary.
Must have basic concepts of data modeling and databases, a basic understanding of genetics and clinical data, and experience with JIRA or a similar issue tracking system.
A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential.
Demonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background, along with excellent organizational and communication skills, are required.
Nice to have skills include working experience with IBM Product Master, the ability to run simple SQL queries, knowledge of REST API, JSON/XML concepts, understanding of laboratory software compliance requirements, familiarity with laboratory processes and instrumentation, and object-oriented programming knowledge.
