The Lead Data Analyst is responsible for driving the organization’s analytics strategy and overseeing the execution of key analytics initiatives.
This role provides both strategic leadership and hands-on expertise in developing data-driven solutions to support business decisions.
The Lead Data Analyst manages analytics projects, defines methodologies, selects tools, and collaborates closely with stakeholders and the broader Data & AI team to deliver impactful insights.
Responsibilities include developing and leading the implementation of the organization’s analytics roadmap and initiatives, overseeing the end-to-end execution of analytics projects, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
The role involves defining and enforcing standards and best practices in data analysis and visualization, selecting appropriate analytics tools, and guiding the adoption of advanced analytics techniques.
The Lead Data Analyst serves as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the Data & AI team for analytics initiatives, translating business needs into technical requirements and actionable insights.
The position also includes mentoring junior analysts and fostering a culture of continuous learning and analytical excellence.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead analyst role.
Strong expertise in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and statistical programming (e.g., Python, R) is essential.
A proven track record of delivering actionable insights and analytics solutions in a business environment is necessary.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
A background in Agile/Lean methodologies and experience implementing DevOps at scale is preferred.
Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse) is important.
Familiarity with machine learning fundamentals and their application in business intelligence is a plus.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks is also required.
