Aker Systems is seeking a Lead Data Architect to support the delivery of innovative cloud solutions that meet high standards of data security and privacy.
The role requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in data architecture, focusing on secure, large-scale, and complex projects.
Responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements, supporting the design and implementation of data architectures, and providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams.
The Lead Data Architect will utilize AWS tooling and other cloud providers to architect and deploy secure, cloud-native solutions for batch and real-time data processing.
The position involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and government regulations, monitoring technical deliverables, and advising on data standards breaches.
The role also includes mentoring a team of skilled data professionals and staying updated with advancements in cloud technologies and data architecture.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in data architecture, particularly with secure, large-scale, and complex projects.
Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Redshift is required; experience with other cloud providers like Azure or GCP is a plus.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Apache Flink for real-time data processing is essential.
Proven experience in mentoring and managing teams, with a focus on developing talent and fostering collaboration is necessary.
Strong ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders, translating their needs into actionable technical plans is required.
Desirable skills include proficiency in Scala and Spark, as well as hands-on public cloud experience in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
Experience working in sensitive data environments and facing off to cyber security specialists is preferred.
Candidates should understand and apply recognized data modeling patterns and standards.
