Booksy is seeking a Lead Data Architect (Governance) to join their Data & Analytics team, reporting to the Director of Analytics.
The role involves shaping the architecture that transforms raw, disparate data into a high-performance analytical ecosystem.
The Lead Data Architect will design the structures, standards, and systems that support Booksy’s data strategy, ensuring trust, coherence, and clarity from data ingestion to insight.
Responsibilities include building intelligent frameworks for seamless and scalable data governance, empowering teams to access the right data at the right time.
The ideal candidate should thrive in a dynamic, scale-up environment and enjoy solving problems amidst ambiguity.
Requirements:
Candidates must have deep, hands-on experience in designing and building data warehouses, with a strong command of dimensional modeling, particularly using the Kimball methodology.
Expertise in Google Cloud Platform is required, especially in BigQuery architecture, optimization, and cost management.
Advanced SQL skills and production-level experience with dbt (or similar tools) for building modular, testable transformation pipelines are essential.
Practical mastery of LookML and semantic layer design within Looker, including Explores, joins, derived tables, and scalability best practices is necessary.
Experience in establishing and enforcing data governance standards through technical architecture is preferred.
Familiarity with data cataloging, metadata management, and observability tools is beneficial.
A systems-thinking mindset is important, with an understanding of the full data lifecycle and maintaining integrity from source to dashboard.
Conversational level English language skills are required for effective communication within the company.
