The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, scaling data warehouse architecture, and ensuring optimized data insights across the organization.
This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to turn BI requirements into accessible, accurate, real-time reporting and promoting a data-driven culture within Notabene.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines, gathering data requirements, ensuring data governance and security, and monitoring data infrastructure performance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering with large datasets, such as millions of transactions.
Proven experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data infrastructure is required.
Strong experience with dbt core/cloud is essential.
Candidates should be business savvy and capable of interfacing with finance, revenue, and operations leaders to enhance business intelligence.
Expertise in data governance, best practices, and data security, particularly concerning PII, is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience working in AWS, is required.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a global, remote-first environment are essential.
Candidates should be proficient self-starters and comfortable working with ambiguity.
Excellent communication skills are required for effective collaboration across teams and departments.
