  • The role involves building data platforms and pipelines, creating the foundation for diverse data and analytics solutions, including data science and AI.
  • Responsibilities include building data lakes and warehouses, creating processes to extract or access operational data, and transforming siloed datasets into integrated data models for business insights and ML model training.
  • This is a hands-on, client-facing role with openings at senior or lead level, suitable for various experience levels.
  • The position may require leading teams, setting technical direction, advising clients, or solving engineering challenges, with some on-site client work in the London area on an ad-hoc basis.
  • The ideal candidate will combine a strong software engineering approach with solid data fundamentals and experience with modern tools, and the company is open-minded regarding existing skillsets.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have good experience with technologies and approaches typical in modern data engineering and reporting, including storage, data pipelines, and querying and reporting of analytical data.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as Python, Spark, SQL, Pyspark, and PowerBI is required.
  • A background in software engineering, including Front End technologies like JavaScript, is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary, with a pragmatic approach to exploring options and finding effective solutions.
  • An understanding of how to design and build well-structured, maintainable systems is required.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work are essential.
