YouGov is seeking a talented and self-motivated Lead Data Scientist to ensure the integrity and credibility of research data.
This role involves developing new strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate research fraud.
The Lead Data Scientist will communicate results of fraud prevention programs to stakeholders through white papers, ad hoc reports, and presentations.
The position requires handling complex data problems, including massive datasets, missing data, self-selection, measurement error, and attrition.
Responsibilities include developing statistical models, leading investigations into research fraud, and conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders.
The role requires collaboration with the existing data science team and coordination with senior stakeholders to understand project requirements.
Requirements:
A Master’s or PhD in data science, statistics, quantitative social science, or equivalent business experience is required.
Candidates must have experience with various statistical methods, including regression, causal inference, and machine learning.
Experience performing statistical analyses on large datasets is essential.
Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis, modeling, and visualization is required.
The ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code is necessary.
Strong communication skills for conveying results and research methodology through reports are essential.
