Sift Healthcare is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their collaborative analytics group.
The role involves working closely with data science and engineering teams to enhance Sift’s data science, ML Ops, and advanced analytics infrastructure.
The Lead Data Scientist will improve and enhance Sift’s suite of predictive models to solve complex healthcare payment problems.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in a machine learning role and an advanced degree (MS or higher) in a related field.
Experience with Deep Learning and Generative AI is preferred.
The employee will test hypotheses, present findings to management, and mentor team members.
A deep understanding of Sift's data is required, along with the ability to provide advanced analysis and suggest improvements to ML techniques.
Experience with PII/PHI/HIPAA data and healthcare data is required, with a preference for Wisconsin residents.
Requirements:
Candidates must have five (5) plus years of experience working with large disparate data sets and using machine learning to derive healthcare insights.
Experience with deep learning and Generative AI, including NLP, LLMs, Transformers, LSTM, and GNNs, is required; productionization experience is a plus.
Familiarity with tree-based models (Random Forest, GBM, XGBoost), clustering models (K-means, KNN, KAMILA, DBSCAN), forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet), regression, and anomaly detection is necessary.
Experience working with temporal, cross-sectional, and unstructured data is required.
Proficiency in git, including conducting and participating in code reviews, is necessary.
Candidates must be skilled in Python and SQL.
Experience with healthcare data, including EMR, Claims, Midcycle Revenue, and Clinical or Coding data, is a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
An advanced degree (MS or higher) in applied data science, statistics, economics, computer science, computational natural sciences, or a related field is required.
