  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing cloud cost optimization strategies, building cost dashboards, defining Cost per Operation (CPO) metrics, setting up multi-cloud governance policies, developing automation scripts, conducting billing analysis, collaborating with various teams, and providing guidance on cloud architecture.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering roles with a focus on cost optimization.
  • Deep hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, GKE, Firebase, Pub/Sub), AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS), and managed services like MongoDB Atlas and Elastic.co is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of cost tools such as DoiT Cloud Analytics, GCP Billing Export, AWS CUR (Cost & Usage Reports), and BigQuery is necessary.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash, as well as automation frameworks for cost cleanup and reporting, is essential.
  • Candidates should be comfortable querying and visualizing cloud billing data to derive unit economics.
  • Familiarity with cost management in Kubernetes is required.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary to translate complex cost insights into actionable plans for stakeholders.
