  • The Lead DevOps Engineer will work closely with DevOps, Cloud, and Software Engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure and automation strategies.

  • Essential functions include providing coaching and direction to a team of DevOps engineers, promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • The Lead DevOps Engineer will drive innovation and foster experimentation in CI/CD, automation, and system architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • The position involves promoting ongoing learning and keeping current with new technologies and patterns.
  • Responsibilities also include architecting and maintaining scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, developing and managing CI/CD pipelines, and overseeing configuration management solutions.
  • The role requires enhancing monitoring, alerting, and observability in collaboration with Software Engineering.
  • The Lead DevOps Engineer will partner with product and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • The position includes providing technical coaching, constructive feedback, and identifying growth opportunities for DevOps engineers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years in software or infrastructure engineering roles is required.
  • At least 5 years of DevOps experience, providing technical direction to DevOps Engineers, is necessary.
  • Expertise in Azure or AWS environments is required, with a preference for Azure.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing DevOps practices is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform), scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python), and CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps preferred) is required.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems is necessary.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ansible experience and one or more Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT best practices is a plus.
