Description:

  • The Lead Engineer will shape the future of the platform technically, strategically, and culturally.
  • This role involves working directly with the founder and CTO, taking ownership of the backend and infrastructure, and helping to scale the product.
  • Responsibilities include leading backend development using C# / .NET, designing and maintaining APIs, data models, and business logic.
  • The engineer will contribute to and support the React front-end as needed.
  • The role requires ownership of Azure-based deployments and DevOps processes, improving CI/CD and environment management.
  • Collaboration with the founder and stakeholders is essential to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.
  • The engineer will architect and implement improvements across performance, scalability, and system reliability.
  • Regular updates and technical decisions must be presented clearly and organized, with a weekly cadence expected.
  • The engineer should confidently challenge technically unsound ideas and advocate for smarter solutions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6–12+ years of experience as a senior-level engineer with deep expertise in C# / .NET and Azure.
  • Comfort with front-end development in React is required.
  • A strong grasp of DevOps best practices, ideally in Azure environments, is necessary.
  • Microsoft Certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working directly with technical founders and navigating tough conversations.
  • Clarity, consistency, and direct communication are valued traits for this position.
  • The ideal candidate should be assertive, thick-skinned, proactive, and solution-oriented.
