Description:
As the Lead Game Programmer at KWS Mexico City, you will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of development projects.
You will build and lead a team of engineers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality code.
Collaborate with game designers and producers to ensure technical feasibility.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Identify and mitigate risks.
Actively participate in the hiring process of new developers and lead a team working on significant projects.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, identify process improvement opportunities.
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
Collaborate with the studio head to develop business leads and contribute to growth plans.
Requirements:
10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in C++, C#.
Experience with Unreal 4/5, AWS, Steam/PlayStation/Xbox platforms.
Track record of shipping at least 2-3 console titles or 4-5 PC titles.
Deliver projects on budget, on time, to requirements, and with high quality.
Analyze and evaluate technical risks within project scope.
Ability to communicate technical ideas in user-friendly language.
Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
