Remote Lead Game Programmer (Bank of talent)

Description:

• As the Lead Game Programmer at KWS Mexico City, you will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of development projects.
• You will build and lead a team of engineers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality code.
• Collaborate with game designers and producers to ensure technical feasibility.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Actively participate in the hiring process of new developers and lead a team working on significant projects.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, identify process improvement opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
• Collaborate with the studio head to develop business leads and contribute to growth plans.

Requirements:

• 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in C++, C#.
• Experience with Unreal 4/5, AWS, Steam/PlayStation/Xbox platforms.
• Track record of shipping at least 2-3 console titles or 4-5 PC titles.
• Deliver projects on budget, on time, to requirements, and with high quality.
• Analyze and evaluate technical risks within project scope.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas in user-friendly language.
• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
