As the Lead Engineer for Cortex’s Platform, the individual will be responsible for defining the architecture of the infrastructure and developing foundational platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of platform capabilities, defining architectural standards, implementing core infrastructure technologies, maintaining high engineering standards, and participating in production system operations.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
The candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to building top-quality software are essential.
A profound understanding of computer science fundamentals, prevalent design patterns, and engineering best practices is necessary.
Proficiency in database technologies such as Postgres and MySQL is required.
The candidate must be proficient in Kubernetes and Terraform.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential for this role.
A proven track record in mentoring and coaching engineering team members is required.
Previous experience at a hyper-growth startup is considered a plus.
