  • As the Lead Engineer for Cortex’s Platform, the individual will be responsible for defining the architecture of the infrastructure and developing foundational platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of platform capabilities, defining architectural standards, implementing core infrastructure technologies, maintaining high engineering standards, and participating in production system operations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • The candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to building top-quality software are essential.
  • A profound understanding of computer science fundamentals, prevalent design patterns, and engineering best practices is necessary.
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as Postgres and MySQL is required.
  • The candidate must be proficient in Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential for this role.
  • A proven track record in mentoring and coaching engineering team members is required.
  • Previous experience at a hyper-growth startup is considered a plus.
