Description:

• Burq is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help scale their platform and mentor a growing engineering team.
• The role involves driving innovation in logistics and AI/ML-powered automation.
• Responsibilities include owning architecture and development for high-impact parts of the platform, leading feature delivery from start to finish, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Data teams.
• The Lead Software Engineer will mentor other engineers, set technical standards, and drive engineering best practices.
• The position also involves working on applied AI/ML features such as intelligent provider selection, refund automation, and order prediction.
• The engineer will help shape Burq’s technical roadmap and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
• Strong skills in backend systems (e.g., Python, Node.js, or similar), API design, and cloud infrastructure are required.
• Experience in building and scaling production-grade web applications or platforms is necessary.
• Exposure to applied AI/ML in product environments is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
• Candidates should be comfortable in fast-paced, agile, and startup-style environments.
