  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Staff Software Engineer - macOS/iOS to lead our iOS engineering team.
  • As a team lead, you will oversee the full development lifecycle of complex iOS projects, provide technical guidance, and set best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap while mentoring and developing team members.
  • Responsibilities include overseeing the development lifecycle, providing technical guidance, setting coding standards, acting as the primary engineering lead, debugging and reviewing code, architecting reusable software components, and evaluating new technologies.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide actionable feedback to team members.
  • Mentorship involves leading and mentoring other Swift engineers, conducting code reviews, and facilitating team workshops.
  • You will implement high-quality testing practices, monitor app performance, and resolve technical debt.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of experience in iOS or macOS development.
  • A strong understanding of multithreading and memory management in iOS is necessary.
  • Experience with Core ML and Metal for on-device machine learning is required.
  • Familiarity with Xcode, Instruments, and other iOS development tools is essential.
  • Knowledge of iOS security best practices and privacy considerations is needed.
  • A solid understanding of network protocols such as MQTT and WSS is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills are essential.
