We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Staff Software Engineer - macOS/iOS to lead our iOS engineering team.
As a team lead, you will oversee the full development lifecycle of complex iOS projects, provide technical guidance, and set best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap while mentoring and developing team members.
Responsibilities include overseeing the development lifecycle, providing technical guidance, setting coding standards, acting as the primary engineering lead, debugging and reviewing code, architecting reusable software components, and evaluating new technologies.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide actionable feedback to team members.
Mentorship involves leading and mentoring other Swift engineers, conducting code reviews, and facilitating team workshops.
You will implement high-quality testing practices, monitor app performance, and resolve technical debt.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
You must have 5+ years of experience in iOS or macOS development.
A strong understanding of multithreading and memory management in iOS is necessary.
Experience with Core ML and Metal for on-device machine learning is required.
Familiarity with Xcode, Instruments, and other iOS development tools is essential.
Knowledge of iOS security best practices and privacy considerations is needed.
A solid understanding of network protocols such as MQTT and WSS is required.
Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills are essential.
