As the Lead UX Researcher (Founding), you will establish the research practice from the ground up and drive insights throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery to validation and iteration.
You will utilize both moderated and unmoderated testing methods and be proficient with tools such as UserTesting.com, Maze, and Hotjar/FullStory.
Your role will involve collaborating with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams to translate research findings into actionable decisions that enhance conversion, satisfaction, and retention.
Key responsibilities include defining the research strategy, planning and executing studies, triangulating insights from various data sources, scaling research operations, influencing product strategy, and championing customer insights across the organization.
Requirements:
You must have over 5 years of experience in UX Research, preferably in consumer products, marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel, with a track record of leading complex, multi-method projects.
You should be AI-native, effectively using AI tools for various research tasks, including planning, recruiting, and insight summarization, while being mindful of privacy and bias.
Mastery in both moderated and unmoderated testing is essential, along with confidence in facilitation and on-camera interactions.
Proficiency in tools like UserTesting.com, Maze, and Hotjar/FullStory is required, with additional experience in Lookback, UserZoom, dscout, and survey tools being a plus.
You need to be a systems thinker and organizer, capable of building or improving research operations and making insights easily accessible.
A data-literate background is important, with the ability to combine qualitative insights with product analytics; basic SQL knowledge or strong collaboration with data teams is advantageous.
Clear communication skills are necessary, with a focus on impactful storytelling and stakeholder management in an asynchronous work environment.
A portfolio or case studies demonstrating the business impact of your research work is required.
