Description:

  • The role involves designing and implementing highly decentralized training pipelines, which may include proof of concept development for novel machine learning research and maintaining highly fault-tolerant production systems.
  • Responsibilities include building scalable, distributed machine learning compute systems over decentralized and heterogeneous infrastructure.
  • The candidate will design and develop novel machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications for Gensyn, potentially from scratch or by enhancing existing systems.
  • The position requires partnering with researchers and production engineers to design and run novel experiments, transitioning research from theory to production.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in applied machine learning or engineering is essential.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in an experimental environment with high autonomy and unpredictable timelines.
  • A proven background in training, retraining, inference, or machine learning systems is required.
  • Impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Familiarity with data structures and software architecture is expected.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in building highly performant, distributed systems and a demonstrated background in developing or implementing novel machine learning research.
  • Experience in developing mission-critical, highly complex production systems, particularly in improving fault tolerance and crash recovery, is also preferred.
  • It is nice to have experience working in a startup or scaleup environment.
