The internship is focused on improving exploratory search on a music streaming platform using Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic technologies.
The start date for the internship is in October.
Interns will investigate and evaluate recent research on agent-based and LLM-powered search systems.
They will analyze the specific needs of a music-focused search engine, which differs from general-purpose search.
Interns will design and implement a prototype that interprets complex user queries and delivers personalized music results.
They will work with real-world usage data from the Deezer platform.
Optionally, interns may experiment with fine-tuning or prompt-engineering LLMs for better performance.
Interns will contribute to system evaluation and discuss the path toward scaling and production deployment.
Requirements:
Candidates must be a Masterβs student in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
A solid understanding of natural language processing and machine learning is required, along with good coding skills in Python.
Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., Transformers, OpenAI models) and retrieval techniques (e.g., Elasticsearch, FAISS) is a strong plus.
Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) is also a plus.
Candidates should have an interest in user-centric search and recommendation systems.
Curiosity, autonomy, and a hands-on approach to prototyping and experimentation are essential.
If candidates do not meet 100% of the qualifications, they are encouraged to explain why they would still be a great fit for the role in their application.
Benefits:
Deezer offers a Deezer premium family account for free.
