Remote Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

• As a Machine Learning Engineer at Roboflow, you will focus on making cutting-edge vision models production-ready.
• This role is execution-focused engineering, not a research position.
• You will work across the training and inference stack to deploy scalable, high-performance machine learning services that power real-world applications for thousands of developers.
• Your responsibilities will include optimizing and deploying production ML models for performance and scalability using tools like TensorRT and PyTorch.
• You will build, maintain, and monitor inference services for new and existing vision models.
• You will integrate new models into training and inference pipelines, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
• You will build analytics pipelines for large-scale vision data, handling billions of images.
• Collaboration with researchers and engineers will be essential to expose new model capabilities via APIs and UI.
• You will diagnose and debug full-stack issues in Python and JavaScript across ML services.

Requirements:

• You should have 4–5 years of professional experience in Python and at least 3 years in machine learning and production deployment of ML models.
• Strong hands-on skills with PyTorch, TensorRT, Python, and proficiency in JavaScript are required.
• You must have an engineering mindset, capable of writing maintainable, modular code and applying engineering best practices.
• Proficiency with system architecture, NoSQL and SQL databases, and serverless technologies is necessary.
• Familiarity with the vision domain, including object detection, classification, segmentation, YOLO, VLMs, and SAM is expected.
• You should be execution-oriented, caring about delivering value to real users.
• Experience working in startups or in high-ownership roles is preferred, along with comfort in autonomy, ambiguity, and rapidly shifting priorities.

Benefits:

• The target compensation for this role is between $200,000 and $275,000 base salary, with an equity package for all full-time employees.
• You will receive a $4000 per year travel stipend to work alongside other Roboflowers anywhere at any time.

• You will have a $350 monthly AI tools budget to leverage the latest LLM technologies for maximizing efficiency.
