Technergetics is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer III to design and deploy advanced AI capabilities.
The role involves building intelligent systems that transform unstructured documents and structured system data into actionable knowledge, connected via an evolving knowledge graph.
Responsibilities include developing and integrating named entity recognition (NER), topic modeling, correlation algorithms, and a recommendation system to link extracted insights across domains.
The position is full-time and offers a salary range of $90,000-$135,000 annually, depending on qualifications, education, and experience.
Remote performance is possible, with candidates considered from across the United States, and occasional in-person meetings may be required for those in the Utica-Rome area.

Requirements:
A minimum of a Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline is required; a PhD is strongly preferred.
At least two years of experience building and deploying machine learning solutions is necessary.
Strong Python skills with experience in ML/NLP libraries such as spaCy, HuggingFace, and scikit-learn are required.
Hands-on experience with named entity recognition (NER), topic modeling, and document classification is essential.
Familiarity with knowledge graphs, graph databases, and entity-relation modeling is needed.
Proven experience in building recommendation systems or content-based/personalized ranking algorithms is required.
Hands-on experience with semantic search, vector indexing, or embedding-based LLM search architectures is necessary.
A solid understanding of integrating ML services into larger software systems is required.
