We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Market Research Data Analyst to join our Research Operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and transforming raw survey and behavioral data into clean, structured formats ready for analysis.
This includes quality checking, coding, weighting, merging datasets, and ensuring accurate delivery of final data files to research teams and clients.
This is a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our research outcomes.
Key responsibilities include cleaning raw datasets, identifying and correcting data errors, removing duplicates, handling missing values, and ensuring data consistency from survey platforms.
You will prepare data for analysis using tools such as Excel, SPSS, or R.
You will standardize and reformat raw data into usable formats for analysis, ensuring alignment with research objectives and client specifications.
You will create frequency tables, cross-tabulations, and summary statistics to support insights reporting and client presentations.
You will apply weights to datasets and generate frequency tables and crosstabs as needed.
You will combine data from multiple sources into cohesive datasets for analysis and reporting.
You will prepare clean, well-labeled datasets and export them to specified formats with accompanying documentation.
You will conduct systematic checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
You will work closely with research analysts, project managers, and survey programmers to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
You will manually or semi-automatically categorize qualitative text responses using coding frameworks to enable quantitative analysis.
You will use scripting languages or tools to automate repetitive tasks.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
You should have 2-4 years of experience in a data processing or similar role, preferably in a market research environment.
Proficiency in Excel and at least one data processing/statistical tool (SPSS, R, Python, or similar) is necessary.
Familiarity with survey data and an understanding of market research methodologies are essential.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience with online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Alchemer, Decipher).
An understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
Experience with SQL or relational databases is also preferred.
