The role is a hybrid position that spans both the developer platform and infrastructure layers, focusing on two key areas: the developer-facing platform for AI workload management and the underlying distributed infrastructure for training systems.
Core responsibilities include building web interfaces for AI workload management, developing REST APIs and backend services in Python, creating real-time monitoring tools, and implementing user-facing features for resource management.
Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing distributed training infrastructure in Rust, building high-performance networking components, creating automation pipelines with Ansible, managing cloud resources, and implementing scheduling systems for various hardware.
Requirements:
Strong backend development skills in Python, particularly with FastAPI and async programming.
Proficiency in modern frontend development using TypeScript, React/Next.js, and Tailwind.
Experience in building developer tools and dashboards, as well as RESTful API design and implementation.
Systems programming experience with Rust is required.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes and expertise in cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana is necessary.
Nice to have: experience with GPU computing and ML infrastructure, knowledge of AI/ML model architecture, high-performance networking implementation, contributions to open-source infrastructure, and experience with WebSocket/real-time systems.
